| Multivitamins are frequently under appreciated, possible because they are so familiar. It is unusual to find one that really stands out. OcuDyne II, designed by Drs. Wright and Gaby, has become one of the best selling multivitamins, and the one most frequently recommended by doctors. It is also Lifespan's most frequently recommended multivitamins because it: . Provides a broad range of antioxidants . Improves amino acid absorption . Supports amino acid utilization . Protects the body from free radical damage . Aids in tissue repair and regeneration
| Amino acids work better if a broad range of nutrients are available. When taking amino acids, it's particularly important that all the nutritional co-factors are present. Vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are all required for amino acids to work. These co-factors play an essential role in the subtle chemistry of the body. This support is necessary whether the amino acid is acting as a neurotransmitter, building enzymes, or repairing tissue due to injury or aging. Amino acid supplements increase our requirements for vitamins and minerals. When we take amino acids, we are providing an abundant amount of raw material for one level of our body's chemistry. To fully take advantage of this, we absolutely have to have a broad range of nutrients available. A good multivitamin also ensures that the amino acids will be better absorbed and better utilized. The combination of a good multivitamin such as OcuDyne II and quality amino acids increases the efficiency of the body. Most people find that these improvements are reflected in their performance, energy, and sense of well-being. |

The overall effects of a multivitamin product are subtle and occur over a period of weeks. The benefits from a multivitamin may not be apparent until you stop taking it. Yet we know from the extensive research that the long-term use of a good multivitamin provides significant health benefits. These benefits are so apparent that researchers have been able to measure the difference in health between those who took multivitamins and those who did not. Special Considerations There are no known contraindications to this product
| I was a consultant to the manufacturer of this product, shortly after the launch of OcuDyne II. I had the good fortune of having a ring-side seat to the launch of one of the most successful multivitamins ever produced. This formula was developed by Jonathan Wright, MD and Alan R. Gaby, MD, two of the top alternative and nutritional doctors in the country. Their goal was to develop a formula of nutrients that would be specifically useful for supporting the functions and structure of the eye. There is a tremendous amount of research on different antioxidants and nutrients and how they affect eye health. These two doctors reviewed this research and put together the OcuDyne II formula. Although the intention was to make a product for the eyes, this formula turned out to be one of the most effective multivitamin products I've seen. It really does work well for the eyes. As a technical support consultant for this manufacturer, I had the opportunity to talk with hundreds of people who were using this product - both doctors prescribing it and consumers who were taking it. They all love this as a multivitamin, and I spoke with at least 300 people who reported that their cataracts improved when they started using OcuDyne II. By any standard this was a spectacular outcome. I also talked with people who didn't show clear improvement in their cataracts, but this was definitely a smaller number. This is, in my experience, the single most dramatic response to any multivitamin I've encountered in my 25-year career as a nutritional consultant. So OcuDyne II has become the multivitamin I recommend most frequently. * These statements have not been evaluated by the U.S. * These statements have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug administration. | | Supporting Products All-Basic - A multi-amino acid formula designed by the top amino acid chemist to supply the correct amino acids in the right ratios. This formula supports brain chemistry, replaces amino acids consumed by stress, and enhances immune function. Tryptophan - The essential amino acid that is the raw material required for the production of the serotonin. Low levels of this neurotransmitter are associated with depression, anxiety, PMS, and insomnia. Tri-Phos-B - Contains the B vitamins necessary for tryptophan to be metabolized into serotonin. AntiOx Cysteine Free - A balanced antioxidant blend used to counter the effects of free radicals and to improve the absorption and utilization of amino acids.
| Our moods and sleep are regulated by powerful brain chemistry, particularly serotonin, one of our most important neurotransmitters. Low serotonin levels have been identified as a cause of depression in hundreds of research studies. Serotonin is made in the brain from tryptophan, an essential amino acid. Tryptophan is the raw material the brain requires to make serotonin. Tryptophan is a component of most proteins. Unfortunately, stress can deplete tryptophan. A number of other factors can also lead to tryptophan deficiencies, which in turn result in low levels of serotonin. Extensive research has shown that tryptophan supplements raise serotonin levels. By using a nutritional supplement, we are simply providing the raw material the body needs to produce serotonin. Raising serotonin is a vital step in addressing depression, anxiety, PMS mood swings, and insomnia. The ability of tryptophan to support the body's production of this absolutely critical neurotransmitter is what makes tryptophan such an important, sought-after nutritional product. | | | | | |
